Q) How did you come up with the idea for the song "I Ain't Goin' Back?"
A) Well, I was in the trap in upstate NY - I was up late one night and the song just came to me. I put pen to pad and started writing. I knew that the song was good - but how good? Only my fans can be the judge of that!
Q) Describe the writing and recording process of the song.
A) It took me four hours to write "I Ain't Goin' Back" - from 2am to 6am. I recorded the original version of the song as soon as I returned to Long Island, New York. I recorded it with the great producer Mike Hogan at Young Streets Studio.
Q) Who do you think that this song will appeal to and why?
A) I believe that this song will appeal to everyone who has been through something or is going through something that they never want to go through in life again if they can help it. They will enjoy this song and probably relate to it. Arthur Pingrey (producer) really helped me to reimagine this song and capture a country vibe with a street flair. We recorded it in one full day at his studio in New Jersey in September of this year. It's definitely starting to get some traction and possible radio interest and I'm really excited about that. I hope you like the song too!
